Evie Jackson graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in mass communication and a specialization in TV and film. Since graduation she has worked in the TV industry and on film projects. Her love of photography began in 2016 when she picked up her first camera. Jackson suffers from social anxiety but found that bringing a camera with her to events pushed her out of her comfort zone.
In this exhibition, Jackson focuses on night scenes which was the first subject matter she explored. Her subject for this exhibition is the moon, which she has been drawn to since she was a child. According to Jackson, "When I was a kid, I always waved to the moon. Nighttime gives me the chance to say hi to the moon. A never abandoned friendship that will last the rest of my life."
